AI Production — Event Rebranding & Relocation Campaign
Rheingrün.
After 8 successful years at the idyllic Rheinstrandbad, the Rheingrün Event relocated to the gravel grounds at the DM Arena.
The Goal
Transparent and proactive communication regarding the drastic change of location. The objective was not just to reassure the community, but to actively excite them about the new possibilities. The undeniable advantages of the new location — more space, new camping options, significantly optimized parking, and a much larger area — needed to be showcased in a way that outshines the visual loss of the natural scenery and builds genuine hype.
The Challenge
The visual contrast is immense: moving from an extremely popular, green oasis by the water (river, outdoor pool, small lake) to a dry, sterile gravel lot feels, at first glance, like a massive atmospheric downgrade. A strong negative initial reaction from the fanbase was expected. The primary hurdle was tackling this backlash head-on, taking their skepticism seriously, and proving — through high-quality, accurate, and transparent visual communication — why this step elevates the festival to the next level.

The Approach
Development of a bold, honest content strategy focusing on the "why" behind the move and answering all of the community's burning questions. Instead of hiding the gravel lot, it was visually framed as a new, boundless "playground" for the festival. Through targeted formats, Q&As, and strong visual previews of the new infrastructure, it became clear that the event experience isn't dependent on a grassy floor, but on the community itself. The communication made the new, expanded festival concept appealing while proactively absorbing negative feedback.
The Result
A convincing relocation campaign that masterfully disarms the expected criticism through transparency and visual quality. The fanbase feels heard, understood, and involved. Initial skepticism was successfully transformed into anticipation and hype for the enlarged event experience, allowing the Rheingrün Festival to maintain its strong community bond at the new, more urban location.
